Atlantic Management Advises Bushmaster on Sale to Cerberus

Atlantic Management Company, Inc. is pleased to announce that Bushmaster Firearms International, LLC, a newly formed Delaware Corporation and portfolio company of Cerberus Capital Management, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Bushmaster Firearms, Inc., with operations in Windham, Maine and Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

The assignment was led by Don Hatt, Managing Director of Atlantic Management Company, who initiated the transaction, assisted in the negotiations, and served as financial advisor to the shareholders of Bushmaster Firearms, Inc.

Bushmaster Firearms, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high quality firearms, spare parts, and accessories for the commercial, law enforcement, government and international markets. The company’s product line includes rifles, carbines, machine guns, handguns, and upper and lower receivers.  Bushmaster Firearm’s manufacturing and marketing strength has been with the M-16/AR-15 type .223 caliber market, which has become the leading rifle of choice for high-powered competitive shooters.
